As any homeschooled kid can tell you, this is a common question. I hardly ever wore pjs during school, though, and my kids rarely do either.
However, often on Wednesday mornings, Sonia and Zoe do their school in their pjs and then have a morning bath. The two of them enjoy lengthy bath times, and their soaking time provides some nice distraction-free time for me to help Joshua and Lisey with their school work.

My daughter wears those every night right now!
Hmm . . . a lefty. Sonia must be a kick. My older son is left handed and he definitely approaches life from a different angle.

We cyber school, so it’s a similar situation. My daughter is up and dressed before I am in the morning, but my son often doesn’t get out of his pj’s until I shoo them outside for “recess” after lunch. Their school is starting to do web cam stuff with the teachers and kids, and apparently there are quite a few moms who are horrified because they don’t want accidentally to be seen in *their* pajamas!
Even in pj’s she looks like a tiny angel!
we usually get dressed before we start school but to change things up one morning I declared it PJ Day and we stayed in our pajamas all day. That was a few months back and they have been asking to do it again. I think it will have to happen again in the near future. Good times!
This topic came up at a recent homeschool meeting I went to. We don’t do pjs, ever, during the day. Since I’m the least organized homeschooler I’ve ever met, I think this is because my husband is actually quite shy. He wouldn’t be caught dead in pj’s out of the bedroom and I think the rest of us just follow suit. This year we had a pajama day for the first time, and the kids were overjoyed. I suspect we’ll do more dress up days in the future.
My girls are big fans of school in their pj’s. They say it’s one of the “perks” of being homeschooled. Another friend of mine homeschools, and her daughter calls their school “Mom’s Awesome School of Pantless Fun” on the days she works in her nightgown.
