..in one of The Frugal Girl offices (a.k.a. my bed).
I do know there’s such a thing as a virtual calendar, and I did try Google calendar, I really did. But I dunno…something about pen and paper just feels easier to me.
Call me old-fashioned.

totally agree, about the pen and paper!
Good to know I’m not alone! My husband makes fun of me because whenever we need to do some family/household planning I always reach for my pen & paper, whereas he reaches for his laptop. :0)
I love your calendar! And I tried really hard to read the blurry dates but to no avail because I wanted to know what I could look forward too! But I see that next week you will be making oatmeal pancakes! Sounds yummy! I just love your site and I am so glad my cousin, Lisa, told me about you!
@ Lisa – if you are reading this – THANK YOU!!!
And I agree with you on your 365 post today, too.
While one of those fancy phones where you can store your calendar and to-do list might be fun, I know they would be wasted on me in terms of practicality. I would end up writing everything I need to do on a scrap of paper, anyway. I think it’s therapeutic or something!
I agree… I like the “visual-ness” of pen and paper. I do my anticipated spending the same way each month.
Can’t wait for the office tour on the 17th!
Tried the iPad calendar – have gone back to paper. Perhaps I am just too old?
I’m a ‘writer-downer’ also.
I try online and virtual calendars but I forget to use it and end up writing it on my big calendar anyway so it always ends up pointless trying to use it at all.
There’s something therapeutic about physically writing it all down, anyway
Kristen,
Although I spend a lot of time on my computer, when it comes to scheduling/date making, writing it down always seems to do better for me.
I use my iPod and that works for me. I forget to write things down if I have a paper calendar. Which makes no sense to me, but that’s what happens.
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve tried online calendars for our family schedule and meal planning and it was a massive FAIL. The pencil and paper work so much better for me.

I’m a paper person too! There are three calendars in this house and I strive to keep them all updated and on the same page (pun intended).
G-Cal is great when it comes to daily planning, but I agree, I have an awfully tough time getting a snapshot view of what’s ahead on google calendar.
I have to say that I 100% agree with you on this one! I am a very techo girl when it comes to working on the computer my smart phone, etc. However, when it comes down to a calendar I want something I can write in or write on. I actually have 3 calendars at work one of which is my outlook express but I only put stuff on there when I need a prompting for a meeting at work. I love my white board calendar at home – that way everyone in the house can see what is coming up and who needs to be where.
