Sonia sees nothing incongruous about her outfit. It reminded me of the time in my childhood that I wore shorts, a short-sleeved shirt, and my winter coat to my neighbor friend’s house. My mom was all, “What in the world are you wearing??” and I couldn’t understand what the problem was.

I remember being about 10 years old and in the swimming pool. My teeth were chattering and I was shivering, but – even though I was aware of these things – I did not feel cold.
