We’re done with school until January, but Zoe squeezed in some school under the Christmas lights earlier this month.
Such a comfortable way to work on your grammar book.
Sonia and Zoe have been playing the Santa Tracker game.
Zoe strung some extra lightsicles on the deck, and even thought we didn’t have enough to go all the way around, I do love them.
We’ve had small snows twice this month, which is a little unusual.
One was of the fluffy sort.
And the other was like the sky sprinkled a heavy-handed dose of sea salt on us.
I love the way the heat of the light melts a little circle in the snow.
Really, I love all the lights this time of year. Just delightful at a time when the sky provides so few hours of daylight.
If our tree wasn’t real, I’d probably vote for keeping it up through January at least, if only for the joy the twinkly lights provide.
I’m not sure how much I’ll be around between Christmas and the new year, so in case I don’t pop back in before then…Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
And I hope your holiday season is lovely.
Very nice decorations. I’m hoping when our little old is a year older and life isn’t so hectic we may actually decorate or get somewhat into the Christmas spirit again.
Oh yes, I bet she would love having Christmas lights up at your house next year! My kids enjoy them now, of course, but when they were little, they really, really loved them.
Merry Christmas to you! Your tree is so pretty!
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too.
Nice photos. In which state do you live ?
I’m in the Mid-Atlantic area on the east coast of the U.S., and while we do get some snow here most winters, it generally comes in January and February.
White Christmases or white Decembers are kind of a rarity!
I LOVE all the Christmas decorations at your house. It looks so festive and beautiful! We spent $2 on Xmas decor at the Dollar Tree. But our neighbors go all out with their front yard decorations, so I’ve been feeling festive all around.
Happy Holidays to you and your family!
We got married a few years ago in February and used that as an excuse to buy some clearance Christmas lights as wedding decorations, that now hang on our front porch during the holiday season! I love seeing your decorations! And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas to you, Kristen, and your lovely family!
Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year to you and your family!
Thanks for sharing your festive camera dump.:-) Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Merry Christmas!
How gorgeous! We were lucky to have a bit of snowfall here in Texas a few weeks ago. It was the most snow here in 30 years.
Merry Christmas! Enjoy your week with your family!
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2018!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Here’s hoping there are no stomach issues for this holiday . . .
You really take good pictures! Merry Christmas to you and to your family!
Merry Christmas to one and all.
I love the fairy lights and I would have them up all year round. I wish I could see Christmas under cold skies. We have done very little this year.
Lovely photos. Merry Christmas Kristen and the whole FG family!! Peace and love be with you.
Merry Christmas, I love Christmas lights.
I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you sharing the clam chowder recipe. I had unexpected company yesterday for lunch and all the ingredients for the chowder. It was quick and made a large pot with more than enough for everyone. Plus it was a company worthy dish which everyone enjoyed. Thank you for taking the time to share everything you do with us.
Merry Christmas.
Yay! I’m so glad it worked out well for you.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. I always enjoy your posts very much. Thanks for taking time to write this blog.
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!
Your holiday lights and classic decor are lovely! Thank you for sharing this glimpse into your holiday season.
We’ve been working on the front landscaping (new driveway, retaining walls, lighting, planters, groundcover, new hedge) for well over a year. It’s been a long, expensive slog. It’s finally coming together. This year, when the holiday lights went up, we magically went from Project Central to Beautiful Home. My heart swells with gratitude every time I glimpse the holiday lights. Maybe because at night you can’t tell that the house needs to be painted, sigh. Oh well, the new paint’s in the garage, awaiting the approach of Spring…
I hope you and your oh-my-how-the-children-have-grown family have a wonderful Christmas together. Thanks for giving all of us another year of TFG perfection!
I’m so behind on getting ready for Christmas this year that I am really simplifying it. I think I like that! Merry Christmas Kristen and commenters!
Love that cozy way of doing school!! Blessings to you all!
Loved this post! Please let Sonia know that I received the mice (we were in Louisiana when they got to OK!). They are absolutely adorable! I’ll be sharing them this week; although I DO plan on keeping one for myself!
