The Ting winners!

Hey there, guys!

Melissa, Joshua, and Krystal are the winners of the Moto E phones from Ting Wireless.   You all should be getting emails from Ting today so that they can get your phones shipped out to you.

Whee!

I’m sorry I didn’t have phones for every single one of you.   Buuuut, Ting is offering Frugal Girl girl readers   a $25 credit for signing up with Ting through any links on my blog, which is pretty sweet.

You guys had two questions about Ting:

How’s the coverage? What if Sprint is bad in my area?

Ting used to only operate on the Sprint network, but they now have a GSM network as well, and if you have good T-Mobile coverage in your area, the GSM network should be good for you too.

You can view the coverage maps right here.

What if I’m stuck in a contract?

Ting will pay up to 25% of your early termination fee, up to $75.   Plus, if you’ll be paying a much lower bill with Ting, it might be totally worth it to deal with an early termination fee.

You can use Ting’s calculator  (scroll down to find it) to figure out how much you’d save each month and that’ll help you decide it’s smart to switch.

Reading the comments on the giveaway post made my frugal heart happy because so many of you have switched to Ting and are saving oodles of money on your cell phone bill every month.   Yay!!

If you’d like to give Ting a try, click here to sign up, and your $25 credit will be automatically applied to your new account.

If you run into any questions, let me know.   And if you have any problems, the super helpful customer service people at Ting can get you fixed up in a jiffy.

Ting links are affiliate links. After I blogged about Ting a few years ago, they reached out and asked if I’d like to be affiliated and I said yes!   The affiliate link gives you guys $25 and Ting gives me a kickback when someone signs up through the link too.   It’s a happy thing for all of us. 🙂   Mr. FG and I are still paying Ting customer just like everyone else, and all enthusiasm for Ting is 100% natural.

Awesome! Glad to hear about more people saving money and ditching the evil, huge contract-happy communications companies. ;)

I use Google Fi myself, which also uses Sprint and T-Mobile. I do love how affordable my cell service is now, but I've noticed a definite change in cell coverage. I have to stay on wifi most of the day, to be honest. It's been a bit of a tradeoff for me, but it's still worth it!
