Oh, Vonage. We are never, ever getting back together.

Ever since we left you for Ooma, you’ve gotten so clingy.   The letters full of low-prices-for-a-year promises, the twice-daily phone calls…it’s a bit out of hand.

why ooma is better than vonage

(I don’t mean to be rude, but you seem desperate.)

See, here’s the thing, Vonage.   Even your $10/month for a year promise doesn’t tempt me.   Averaged out over a year, our $99 Ooma box and $39.99 porting fee comes to a mere $11.66 a month.

And after those two purchases, Ooma asks for $0.00 of our money.

But you! After that first year of seductively low prices, you’ll start billing me $35/month.

So, thanks, but no thanks.   You’re gonna have to find yourself a new girl.

When a company just doesn't want to let you go it can get so annoying! Years later I will still probably never subscribe to a newspaper again because I had such a bad experience when I cancelled (or allowed a special offer to expire without renewing at full price). Frustrating especially when you really don't like dealing with telemarketers.

You know, I feel like I might have complained about DirecTV here on the blog before. And the funny thing is...we've never even HAD DirecTV.

Hehe, I giggled quite a lot at this Dear John to Vonage.

I haven't tried Vonage, but I get constant mail from Geico - so much paper waste, it makes me sad. How do you get these offers to stop, since a restraining order isn't really an option? ;)

These are the most helpful posts for me. You research products/services and give your honest feedback on your experiences. AND you follow up several months later --that information is great!
