I’ve never met a kid who didn’t like baking.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I post a picture and just a few words.

My kids never say no to measuring, mixing, (and eating!) and neither do their friends.

Now that Lisey’s gained some baking independence from me, the girls and their friends frequently bake treats for their tea parties (with Lisey supervising).   This works out very nicely because they don’t have to wait for me to be available.

Speaking of baking and Lisey…Lisey and I finally posted our second graham cracker recipe (which we liked better than our first).   And hopefully we’ll get back into the swing of regular posting over there.

My teenager loves to bake choc. chip cookies. We used to bake together when he was in preschool.

One of the awesome things about kids and baking is it teaches them patience and delayed gratification!

The gratification is delayed only if you insist on baking the cookies...

(WilliamB, with a batch of toffee cookies in the fridge that probably will never see the inside of an oven.)

Especially yeast baking, what with all the rising.

My kids don't like to bake. They like to eat, just not bake. Does it make a difference that they're boys? Maybe.

They will, however, enthusiastially mash potatoes for me and scramble eggs.

Oh wow! So a baking-hating kid really DOES exist.

At least they like to cook, though.

If I ever have children, I'm going to keep your ideas in mind. I love how they are able to be entertained but also learn constructive skills at the same time!

I love it! My toddler and I baked bread this morning. She loves to help with the kneading, and throwing any random thing she can grab into the mixer. Today it was 5 lemons and a packet of sweet n low. That would be some weird bread!

Haha, that is awesome. Even lemon bread doesn't have that many lemons. ;)
