A little oil, salt, and pepper….

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I post a picture and just a few words.

grilled peppers and onions

…plus the heat of a grill, and onions and peppers are transformed into something so delicious, you’d think you were eating something far more complicated.

Every time I do this, I’m amazed that such a simple treatment tastes so, so good.

P.S. Lisey and I made crackers!   And I was reminded why I make bread more often than crackers.   It takes a lot of time to cut out all those squares.   😉

It may be simple but looks delicious! My wife does a similar thing except she'll add zucchini to it. What a great complement to so many meals. Cheers! AFFJ

I need to take the plunge and get a grill. I don't have anything to shelter one though.I guess I need to check into some kind of outdoor covering for my patio but that would require homeowner HOA approval. But I'm getting an old cast iron wood stove that was my grandma's (she didnt' usually cook on it but had it for heat and the 'novelty' of it) but I love that stove and would love to set it up to cook on and I think outside would be safest but would want it covered. but I'd really like to be able to grill. I've only done charcoal and it takes forever - thinking of getting a small gas grill but haven't done any research.

Would it work to use a pizza cutter with the crackers?

Yup, that's what we did! But it was still a lot of rolling and a lot of lifting crackers onto the cookie sheet.

Yum, roasted veggies, one of my favorites.

This reminds me that I need to break out the grill ASAP. Those peppers and onions are making me hungry!

My grill stays out and in use all year long, even in the snow!
