Some give-by-spending Cyber Monday deals!

As you know, I’ve been thinking a lot about responsible spending and about how spending can actually be a way of giving.

So, I thought it might be kind of appropriate to share a few Cyber Monday deals along those lines.

I’m affiliated with some of these companies but not with others, so I put a separate disclosure under each section. I hope that’s not too confusing…it was the best way I could think to handle this! As always, any referral links help support this site at no extra cost to you.

Remember the Ultimate Healthy Living bundle I shared with you a little while ago? Well, there’s a flash sale on it right now for Cyber Monday, and 25% of the purchase price goes to four charities (including typhoon relief and Compassion International).

If you have an ebook fan on your gift list, this might be perfect. The ebook files are PDFs, so it’s easy to give them to your recipient, and you can even customize your gift by sending only the ebook files that you think they’d love (there are around a bajillion titles in the bundle, so you could even make several gifts out of this purchase.)

disclosure: I bought a healthy living bundle. The link is referral link, which means a portion of the proceeds after the charity donation supports The Frugal Girl.

You can get free shipping on ANY order in the Strawesome shop today by using the promo code GREATGIFT.

We love our glass smoothie straws, and they’d make a great gift for someone in your life who is interested in eco-friendly living. They’re beautiful and they’re made by a small family company here in the US.

I’ve gotten lots of great deals from the clearance/imperfect section of Strawesome, so take a look-see there.

Our favorite straws are the tall and short bent smoothie straws. The short ones are perfect for mugs or kid-sized cups, while the tall ones are better for a regular adult glass.

(Disclosure: I received one complimentary glass straw from Hip Mountain Mama several years ago, but I’ve paid for all of our other straws with my own money and I get no kickback for any strawesome purchases.)

Third Day Naturals, a small family-owned soap, lip balm, and body butter company from upstate New York, is offering 15% off your entire order with the code TDNGIFT.

Their lip balms make great stocking stuffers. Their products are seriously the best lip balm ever, and they’re made of natural ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax, which you can feel good about putting on your lips.

Love.

Our favorite flavors are lime, vanilla, and chocolate. We haven’t tried the java yet (I only saw it just now!), but I’m thinkin’ several of my coffee lovers would enjoy that.

(disclosure: Third Day kindly sponsors The Frugal Girl by buying ad space, but I do not receive any kickback for purchases made through links on my site.)

Novica, one of my very favorite places to buy jewelry, has some Cyber Monday coupon codes available.

Jewelry - 234x60 Half Banner

$10 Off $50: $10 off orders of $50 or more at NOVICA! Enter USAVE10 at checkout.

You can also use the code ARTISAN15 to save $15 on a $75 purchase.

And if you’re a Novica newbie, you can use the code SAVE7NOVICA to save $7 on your first purchase.

Novica is definitely a giving-by-spending sort of company because they offer great quality at prices that pay the artisans a fair and living wage. So much to love.

Several Novica boxes (which, full disclosure, I bought with my own Christmas budget money) have already arrived at our house to go under our tree. My girls will be so excited.

Ooh, and I just saw that there’s free shipping on everything from Novica today too. Sweet!

I keep meaning to ask whenever you mention them: how easily do the glass straws break? Have any of yours hit the ground, and do they survive it? I love the idea, but I'm not sure that anybody in our house could be trusted with them.

They've hit our wood floor quite a few times and have survived...I'm surprised at how tough they are. We've only broken one so far, and that's because it hit the floor while in a glass...I think the glass cup broke it.

Getting the bent ones helps because they can't roll off of a counter.

For kids who are really young, I'd be more inclined to get stainless steel straws, which you can find pretty easily on Amazon.
