There’s something new in my ears.

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to Michelle, Wanda, and Kathleen! You’ve been emailed.

No, it’s not a new piercing. 😉

It’s some new earrings. And I have some to give away to you guys too!

They’re from Ruby Wallet, a site that sells discount jewelry by buying overstocks from stores like Macy’s and Nordstrom. So, they’re a good site to visit if you’re looking for a jewelry bargain.

Because they carry overstocks, the quantities of each piece is limited, and the stock is always changing. There’s a handy-dandy slider below each piece that lets you know how high or low the stock is at the moment.

Ruby Wallet carries some veddy fancy real diamond jewelry at marked-down prices, but since I knew that like me, you guys probably are loathe to pay for even marked-down diamonds, I said that I’d like to try some of Ruby Wallet’s most affordable options…their earrings.

I got a pair of hammered silver teardrops

A pair of double-O ring dangle earrings…

And a 5-pair Cubic Zirconia set.

I think I might actually be the most excited about those! I tend to wear larger earrings (hoops or dangles), but I like the change of pace these studs provide. And I think I might give the tiny pair to Lisey…they’re the perfect size for her ears.

The only one of that set I don’t love is the biggest pair. When cubic zirconias are small, they can be pretty convincing, but when they’re that size, it becomes a little more obvious that they’re not the real thing. But, I love all four of the other pairs, so I’d still choose this set again if given the chance.

What do I like about Ruby Wallet thus far?

-The jewelry isn’t cheap junk.

As you know, I like to buy things that are well-made because they last longer. All of the earrings I got from Ruby Wallet are sterling silver, which means that they won’t irritate my ears or Lisey’s, and I know they won’t become dull or discolored like cheap jewelry does.

-The selection isn’t overwhelming and it changes frequently.

You know how I like Aldi because its size is less overwhelming than Wal-Mart’s? Well, I feel the same way about Ruby Wallet. It’s nice to have a smallish, ever-changing selection…it doesn’t take long at all to quickly scroll through the offerings to see if they’ve got what you’re looking for.

Let’s see…there are a few Ruby Wallet deal tips you should know.

There’s a Valentine’s sale going on right now, and they’re giving away some diamond jewelry on their Facebook page. And, every day on their homepage, Ruby Wallet offers one piece of jewelry at a deeper discount than usual, for one day only. So, keep an eye out…you might be able to get a sweet deal on something for yourself or someone else.

Ruby Wallet has offered to give away three pairs of earrings to three of you! You’ll receive the same three pairs of earrings I did, actually.

(If you happen to be a reader who doesn’t have pierced ears, you could always enter to win these for someone you love. 🙂 )

To enter, just visit Ruby Wallet and then leave comment telling me which item you’d be most likely to choose.

-Winner will be chosen at random on Wednesday, February 8th.

-One entry per person, please.

-No purchase necessary.

-This giveaway is limited to residents of the United States (Alaska and Hawaii included!)

There's some lovely black diamond studs on there right now that really caught my eye. Normally I'm not a stud person or a diamond person, but they just really grabbed me for some reason. :)

The black diamonds look beautiful. I do wish that I could enlarge the pics in my iPhone to see it all better.
