About that new Amazon Kitchen Stuff widget

You may or may not have noticed, but on the right side of my blog now, down towards the bottom, there’s a little widget that contains links to some of my favorite baking/kitchen tools. (I’ve included one at the bottom of this post so you can see what it looks like.)

I don’t have very many items added to it yet, but as I have time, I hope to compile a more exhaustive grouping of my favorite kitchen tools. I’ve added little notes to each item explaining why I love it or why I use it, and hopefully this list will be helpful to you as you build up your supply of good kitchen equipment. And it’ll be a handy place for me to refer people to when they ask what mixer/grain grinder/cookie sheet I use.

Not everything I add will be inexpensive, but everything will be sturdy, well-made, and it’ll all be stuff I’ve bought and use myself…it’ll have The Frugal Girl’s seal of approval, if you will. ;)

Just so you know, if you buy something from Amazon (I think anything, not just things that are in my list) after clicking on my little widget, I get a small kickback from Amazon for sending you their way (I think I get 4% or so). If you’d prefer not to do that, though, you can certainly just look at the widget as a helpful list and then do your shopping apart from it.

I’m very excited about this…I think it’s a perfect way to advertise for and support products that I wholeheartedly believe in and a easy way for me to share products that I love with you.

I also spent some time yesterday adding Amazon links to my Camera Equipment page over on my365 blog and I hope to set up a photography-related widget over there when I get a minute.

Here’s the baking widget that’s over in my sidebar.

I hope you find it helpful, and I promise I will keep adding items to it, so keep checking back. ;)

P.S.-if you do Swagbucks, you know that one of the best Swagbucks rewards is an Amazon gift card. So, you can save up your Swagbucks and then use your Amazon gift card to buy a kitchen item for free. (You can read more about what I think of Swagbucks if you’re interested.)

Unfortunately, they are one of the few things Amazon doesn’t sell! I use Williams-Sonoma’s Goldtouch loaf pans. Expensive, but awesome.

Rats, I have a pile of credit at Sur La Table that I need help to spend. Do you know that both stores sell pressure cookers (century-old technology) that cost more than a high-quality 19″ HDTV-DVD player? Six months later I’m *still* boggled by this.

Oh dear. That is a lot for a pressure cooker!
