My “day job” is that of a newspaper reporter, and the blog is one of my work projects.

I can certainly assure anyone that writing a blog is a lot like writing an op-ed, personality or consumer affairs column for the newspaper. The writer does the research and / or interviews, adds in his or her opinion or analysis, and writes the piece. And often there are deadlines to keep as well.

The biggest difference between what most bloggers do, and what I do, is that most of them are freelance and have to worry about the business side of their venture as well. I’ve got an entire team of co-workers available to call on for my marketing and I.T. issues. My job: write. post. promote.

Words fail. I admire your restrained response; this kind of trash talk is much more likely to make me lose my temper. Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of people who really appreciate what you do and think the commenter is way, WAY out of line.

I will never understand what has become of people that they think it is ok to talk like that. To call other people harsh names with such anger. I have come across several people like this and the best thing to do is turn the other cheek.

I’ve been reading your blog for over a year and I have to say this person simply had no clue what they were talking about. While I didn’t love that you were pitching the Ebates instead of getting huffy about it I simply decided to make a direct donation to Living Water since I did want to help the charity but hadn’t really had any planned purchases coming up.

I don’t mind the occasional product reviews and coupons and giveaways I don’t view these as anything but little extras to an already great blog that helps a lot of people get great ideas for their own life and inspires me (personally) to bake more. You’re always giving away things to the readers (tips, inspirations, photos, how-to’s) so I can’t imagine anyone would see you as selfish or even think you’d pocket the money!

I wasn’t going to comment as I think the people before me have done a great job saying all the things I could have said but I wanted to show my support in my own way as well.

but if any of ya’ll have any icky baking sheets, I have some cute ideas I’ve found on the internet to turn them into advent calendars & other stuff you can do with them using scrapbook papers & embellishments Not a good reason to go buy icky baking sheets though lol
