This has quickly become a family favorite. I really like it because the ingredients are things I always have on hand, and the flavor of the chicken is excellent! I always make extra so I can use it for salads later in the week. Thanks for finding and sharing!

Yes! Leave the salt out like I do, and use low-sodium soy sauce in the marinade.

How much do you taste the ginger in this recipe? Everything else looks good, but I am not a ginger fan. Do you think you could take it out, or would it ruin the overall flavor?

Meat is marinating, and ready for the grill. Serving with some frugal french bread (and others) which will re-invent itself to become garlic toast for spaghetti night tomorrow!

Mmm looks good! The marinade recipe sounds similar to your hibachi marinade (which is delicious!). Does it taste similar?

I am trying to break my habit of plastic bags for marinating meat. I suppose a pyrex dish with lid will do just as well and you can still carefully shake or invert the dish to mix things up.

I am all about simple marinades. I try to keep most of the items in the ingredient list in my pantry/fridge, so this could be a do any time thing.

Not a fan of meat, but this could be tweaked to work with tofu or eggplant. Sounds good.
