Could you talk more about the homemade yogurt? I'm curious whether you make it because you especially like the taste, or because buying the milk and making it yourself saves you money? I've never calculated the cost differences... wondering if you have.

Oh, that will be fun. I got a $50 gift card to Trader Joe's a little while back, and it was fun to just shop for whatever I wanted.

Yeah, we used to have a coffee table, but when we rearranged our living room furniture, the coffee table didn't work anymore (the piano bench bumped into it!). So, we gave it away on Freecycle.

We don't have a family room...the living room is all there is. I am something of a minimalist, so I like to keep it kind of decluttered in there. It does get messy sometimes, though!

Goodness, I didn't even think about that! That's pretty funny. In case anyone is worrying, though, the niece is not a permanent addition to our family...I just am the backup babysitter sometimes. lol

Okay. I had to go back and read the posts. I think amazing progress is made in this world when two people with completely different viewpoints come together through discussion to find a middle ground where they can meet for awhile. That was actually very inspiring to me.

I love the pictures of the kids all on the couch in their pjs! It looks like you don't have a coffee table either. We finally took our coffee table out when we realized our main living space was easier for the kids without it. Do you guys have a family room? (Your living room looks very decluttered!) Also the photo of your purchases has a lot of positive energy this week! I missed the controversial thread but did read your post that initiated it. I think that a critical key to happiness is to live our lives true to our colors....and to not worry about what others think. We will never please everyone - gosh - how could we? I love your positive attitude.

I always make a two-week-meal-plan. And usually grocery costs about $70-100 depending on what's on the menu. I've been able to save a lot of money because of the meal plan. :)

After all the hoopla (heavens!) this week on your blog, I love that you added another child to your family photo...made me smile and praise the Lord~
Thank you for writing and being who you are...I so look forward to reading your thoughts!
Snowy days are the best! We get them all the time here in MN and we cherish the days full of snow, books and PJs. Have a blessed weekend!
