Jinger, that recipe was not at all the same as Fuddrucker’s buns. The husband and I had a date last night and went to Fudd’s, so now I have a better idea of what I’m trying to replicate.

Hi, Kristen.

I got a one-packet sample of Oregon Chai mix in the mail, and that combined with the sight of your groceries made me wonder if you are still concocting a recipe for homemade chai. This stuff is tasty, but the storebought versions are pricey for what you get, in my opinion. If you’ve settled on a recipe you’re even halfway happy with, I know I wouldn’t mind seeing it on your blog!

@Joni That's too funny! You know, sometimes the most expensive grocery stores have the BEST lost leader sales. Giant and Safeway are two fairly expensive stores here, but they often have great front-page sales, so I do stop in sometimes just for those items. I'm very jealous of your flour sale. I'm still hoping to find one of those yet this holiday season.

I actually thought of you just two days ago when I was at my local Harris Teeter (which I usually consider to be very expensive) and they had UNbleached flour for $.99 I said to my fiance, “Darn, Kristen was looking for unbleached flour for this cheap!” and he said “WHO is Kristen?” I just laughed and said “Oh, she’s the reason we have frugally delicious meals each night!” He stood there puzzled as I continued to chuckle. LOL!
