This is not a baking post.

In fact, it’s not a real post at all.

A little girl in a blue bikini, sitting on the edge of a pool.

This morning, I finished up my menu plan, made a grocery list, and went to Goodwill, Aldi, and Weis.

After a quick pit stop at home to deposit our groceries (worry not, we took photos!) and eat lunch, we headed over to my parents’ house to go swimming with many family members (7 of my cousins and all 6 of my children’s cousins, plus their moms and my mom!).

After I got home, I cooked dinner, cleaned it up with the help of my husband, put children in bed, put sheets on my bed (why I decided to change them on such a busy day is anyone’s guess!), rinsed swimming suits, dried towels, and now it’s just about my bedtime.

But, my kids had fun at the pool, and now that my grocery shopping is done, I can stay home for the entire day tomorrow, which is doubly nice because it’s supposed to rain.

Since I’m staying home tomorrow, I will almost certainly have time to blog. And I will almost certainly put up a real post. Not like this one. 😉

A little girl in a bathing suit is hands down, the single cutest thing ever. Sounds like a great day!

Looked like a real post to me! Thanks for sharing. I echo Julia's thoughts - not all families really care to be a family.

Being in the moment with your kids and enjoying time with your family is the most important thing you can do. I'm glad you had fun!! It's still too hot for me to bake anyway, so I would have just bookmarked your baking post recipe for another day anyway. :-) P.S. You are blessed to have parents and cousins etc. who love you and your kids and want to be with you. My mom loves her dog more than her grandson (my son) and we never go to see my parents. Seriously.
