and I think I’m going to take a day off from blogging.
We’re celebrating tonight with just the six of us…we’re getting takeout pizza(Yay! No cooking for me tonight!), root beer(because of course you need that with a pizza!) and I get to have an ice-cream cake for dessert.
And my husband and kids all have presents for me, which they’ve been dying to give me for the last several days(no one here is very good at delayed gratification except for me! lol). However, I’m of the opinion that birthday presents should be opened ON a person’s birthday, so I’ve managed to make almost all of them wait(Sonia couldn’t take it and gave me her present two days ago. In case you’re wondering, it was about 15 birthday cards/pieces of art that she’d made for me and a box of Junior Mints. I’m partial to anything that marries mint and chocolate, so that sort of thing usually makes up at least a portion of my presents on any gift-giving occasion!)
Could I have put any more parentheticals into this post?
(Probably not.)
See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday, Kristen!! I hope it’s a great one!
Happy birthday, Kristen! Have a wonderful birthday dinner, and eat an extra slice of that ice cream cake for me, OK?
Happy Birthday! Yes, you deserve to take the day off from blogging. Pizza and ice cream sound perfect. Does your family like root beer floats?
You must be a fan of the Girl Scout chocolate mint cookies. I have a little addiction to those and am happy I can only get them once a year.
Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy your day with your family!
Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday Kristen! Are your husband and kids as frugal of gift-givers as you??
Happy Birthday Kristen!!! The best gifts in the world are your family around on your special day…pizza and ice cream cake doesn’t hurt either
Happy b’day!
Lol, I’m big with the parentheticals, too. Happy birthday!

Hope you got some good loot.
Have a very Happy Birthday! I love kids presents…for my last birthday my son gave me a box of Dora bandaids, and a rock. (He was especially proud of the rock!)
Have a good one!
What a lovely way to celebrate! Happy Day!
Hooray! Happy celebrating! (I’m jealous of the Junior Mints.)
Best wishes!
I hope you had a great day and got the chance to relax! I LOVE ice cream cake, and Junior Mints too. Have you ever had the ones at Easter which are pastel-coated on the outside? Good thing those only are available for a brief time per year.
My son always gives me his present early too, he just can’t wait. You gotta love that kind of enthusiasm.
Happy Belated Birthday, Kristen! I forgot our birthdays are close together! Mine was the 25th!!! “32″
Have a terrific birthday!

Happy Birthday!
I’m sure we will probably never meet in person, our paths are quite different. But since I have joined (what I like to call) this blogging network I feel like I know you, at least a little bit. So from one NIRL (not in real life) friend to another – Happy Birthday! (I just love parentheticals)
Happy birthday!
Thank you, everyone! I have the bestest readers ever.
Dana, under normal circumstances my husband is a very generous gift-giver. But, since we’re trying really hard to grow our emergency fund right now, he was more restrained than usual. lol
Happy Belated Birthday Kristen! I hope you had a fantastic day!
I hope you had a great birthday!
