We used to have a lot of food waste, but luckily I've learned to be more creative with leftovers, so now we have less waste. I still haven't totally eliminated it, but I'm hoping I will someday.:P

WOW! I am so impressed! That is a lot of very healthy eating for your family! That's really awesome. I love your meal list too - sounds delish! I only hope I am as creative when I have a family - haha.

Boys? Personally I think that's a good sign he's on his way to manhood. First comes the spider phase and perhaps frogs. I can remember the fun times had by snatching a frog out of the pond and making my mother squirm or scream (and with any luck both!)

My Epic Win was achieved around age 13 when I found that two cotton balls mushed and glued together with the end of one pulled and spun into a long white tail and some extra effects added with a gray Crayola marker made for a very realistic and believable mouse. She claims I took five years off her life with that. The punishment was stern I recall but it was worth it.

The best (worst) is yet to come. ;)

What cheese? What spider? What snickers?? All I saw was the blueberries and milk. That would be a nice treat right about now.

LOL Julia! What is it with boys and spiders?

Gail, my the Snickers are for my husband. He likes to have a little piece of chocolate in his lunch every day, and Snickers were reasonably priced at Aldi. :)

I'm eyeing those snickers bars! Snickers candy bars are my weakness!
I didn't even notice the spider until you mentioned it. I guess I was too focused on food and those snickers bars!. (have you ever tried the ones with the dark chocolate? Very good!)

Love the spider! It took a second to register that it was even in the photo and then it seemed perfectly normal to me, since my son (7) has one like that and he leaves it around the house trying to scare me, too. That's just life with boys! :-) Although we do have the rule that he can't put on any of his scary Halloween masks without telling me first. I don't need a little ghoul peeking around the corner and giving me a heart attack.
