To my blogger friends…

That is, those of you who blog on Blogger…since I switched my blog to my own server, I can no longer leave my proper blog address when I comment on your blogs using OpenID.  That only works with wordpress.com blogs and not wordpress.org blogs(which is what I have now).  It would delight my soul greatly if you would enable the name/url option on your blog.  A number of you Blogger bloggers already have that enabled, and you are officially my favorite people.  ;)

If you don’t want to bother with it, worry not! I will still comment on your blog…I just won’t be as happy a commenter as I would be otherwise!

I know that this made absolutely no sense to those of you who don’t blog, and I apologize.  Scroll down for a non-technical, on-topic post.  ;)

I had to go look at my old Blogger blog to figure it out! Log in and go to “settings” and then “comments”. On the “Who Can Comment?” section, click the dot next to “anyone”

Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Settings”, and you should be all set up.

Unfortunately, Blogger doesn’t seem to have any options that allow Name/URL but NOT anonymous comments. You can still leave comment moderation on, though, and you can do the word verification thing too, which should keep spam off of your blog. I understand if you’d rather not bother with it for fear of anonymous commenters(although I never had a problem with that on my blogger blog).

Mine is updated now, but I think you just post “Anonymous” so make sure to sign your name :-)

FYI. You can automatically post your blog posts on facebook. Just search for “Notes” and then under “Notes Settings” you can “Import a Blog” and whenever you post on this site, it will post the same thing on facebook.
